Robert L. Snyder, Sr.
Retirement led to a full time volunteer position, yet after spending nearly eight hours a day helping at Seven Mountains Scout Camp, Bob puts in overtime serving Scouting at the unit and district level.
Bob Snyder joined Scouting in 1955 and currently serves as Camping Co-Chair on the Shawnee District Committee, Roundtable Commissioner, Webelos Den Leader, and as Scoutmaster for Troop 2 in Lewistown. He has also served with Cub Scout Packs 7, 15, 115 and Boy Scout Troops 15 and 19.
A Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, Bob is also Woodbadge trained (1985) and this past summer completed the first portion new Woodbadge course.
Since 2010, Mr. Snyder has volunteered full time at Seven Mountains Scout Camp assisting in numerous improvement and basic maintenance projects at camp. He also volunteers his time during non-summer camp months to operate the shooting sports area for Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops at camp and is a volunteer cook for camp rental groups. In the summer of 2012, Bob volunteered to provide weekly lawn care for the Council Service Center.
A member of the Yeagertown Lutheran Church, Mr. Snyder has been active with the Masons, Moose, and coached Babe Ruth Baseball.
Bob and his wife Charlotte live in Lewistown.
