Registration & Insurance Fees to Increase Effective January 1, 2010
As announced by the National office this summer effective January 1, 2010 Registration Fees will increase from $10.00 to $15.00 per youth and adult member.
With increasing insurance premiums at all levels and based on a recommendation from the Council Finance and Executive Committees, the Juniata Valley Council Executive Board unanimously passed a motion on October 28 to increase the insurance fee added to all registrations from $1.00 to $3.50 as effective January 1, 2010. This fee applies to both youth and adult registrations and will be charged with all recharters that are coming up..
It is important to note that the $1.00 insurance fee the Council has been charging on registrations has remained at $1.00 for more than 12 years during which time the Council has supplemented funding for the premiums which have continued to increase. .
Starting January 1 the annual amount paid to join Scouting in the Juniata Valley Council will be $18.50 which is still significantly less than many other organizations are charging members.
We appreciate your continued support of Scouting.
