Families Sending Multiple ScoutsFamilies that will be sending more than one Scout to Boy Scout Resident Camp at the same time are eligible for an additional Discount Fee. For the first boy being registered, the fee will follow the fee scale listed above. For each additional boy attending the same camp the fee will follow the scale below: | 1st Scout | Fee consistent with the Fee Scale above | | 2nd Scout | $210 if paid before May 1, 2010 | | $242 if paid before June 1, 2010 | | $276 if paid after June 1, 2010 | 2010 Reservation DepositYour troop is required to pay a reservation deposit to hold your troop’s place for a specific week at camp, even if you’re going to share a campsite with another troop. Reservation deposits are set according to camp site; please see the Summer Camp Reservation Form in the Forms Packet. The deposit will guarantee a reservation for your troop during the session of camp that you are requesting. While your troop will be given every consideration for the campsite that you have requested, it does not necessarily guarantee that your troop will have that campsite. 2010 Reservations Troops may roll over their deposit for the next summer if they are planning to return to camp and stay in the same campsite. The troop must follow the process below to request the same campsite for the next camping season. Upon your troop’s arrival at camp until departure on Saturday, you may pay the reservation deposit and must fill out a new Summer Camp Reservation Form for next year to request the same campsite during the same session. After your departure, your priority hold on that campsite for that session ends and it is considered open. At this point, the campsite, along with any other campsites without reservation deposits for the current or previous sessions, can be reserved by any troop on a first-come basis. General Reservation InformationSeven Mountains Camp regularly encourages smaller troops to share campsites and adult leadership to accommodate campers who might not otherwise be able to participate. If you plan on sharing a campsite with another specific troop, please make sure that it is noted and understood when both your troop and the other troop pay your reservation deposits and camp fees. Two items to consider in regards to reservation deposits: - If your troop’s number of paid Scouts and leaders exceeds the maximum number of available spaces for the site and we cannot move enough platforms and tents into the site to accommodate you, then your troop may be relocated to a larger campsite because of your increased numbers.
- If your troop does not have enough Scouts and leaders to fill the minimum for your site, then it is possible that we may have to move another unit in to share your site to accommodate larger units, or ask you to share a site with another unit that cannot meet the minimum in their site. In either case, you will be notified of the change as soon as possible.

CampershipsThe purpose of the Juniata Valley Council, BSA Campership Fund is to provide assistance to Scouts, who otherwise may not be able to afford the cost of attending a Juniata Valley Council, BSA Summer Camping program. These applications are confidential and are reviewed by a volunteer committee. Consideration will be given to units who participate in the Annual Friends of Scouting Campaign, Fall Popcorn Sale and whether the Scout participates in any supplemental fundraising opportunity organized to help him raise funds for camp. A typical campership may be up to fifty-percent (50%) of the discounted camp fee. In exchange for the campership, the Scout may be asked to provide some service to the council or camp and write a thank-you note to a contributor. The Campership Fund is available only to registered Juniata Valley Council Scouts who attend Seven Mountains Scout Camp. Campership Fund applications are due by May 1, 2010
